An elite program for Nordic conductors

The Nordic Conductors’ Forum (‘Nordisk Dirigentforum’) is an elite program where some of the best young Nordic orchestral conductors are invited to conduct at two annual master classes - one in the autumn and one in the spring. The aim is to create a professional training arena where young, up-and-coming Nordic conductors experience conducting some of the Nordic region's leading orchestras under the guidance of top international mentors. The Nordic Conductors’ Forum is also a meeting place where you build networks and make international contacts in the industry. The role of being host orchestra for these master classes rotates among top Nordic orchestras, and there will be two new host orchestras each season.

Nordic Conductors’ Forum, season 2024-25 is supported by Augustinus Fonden (Denmark), The Norwegian Savings Bank Foundation, and Talent Norway, and is produced in collaboration with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, and the Danish “Dirigentløftet”.
